Meet Dr Nicole Teifer
Nicole D. Teifer, DDS
I love making the Downriver community smile! Being a former Carlson High School cheerleader and coach, I know how important your smile can be in developing your self-esteem, confidence, and overall appearance. It is very satisfying to use my knowledge and skills to help my patients improve their bites and increase the longevity of their smiles. Once they feel enthusiastic about their smiles, they’ll be happy to show them off.
Education and Continuing Education:
Before becoming an orthodontist, I attained my DDS in 2006 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, and in 2008 I received my Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. During my residency and since graduation, I have been exposed to cutting-edge treatment methods and technologies to ensure my patients the highest quality and most comfortable treatments possible. As part of my continuing education, I have also received Advanced Certification as an Invisalign® provider.
In the Practice
I am a Downriver native and I truly believe that Abed Orthodontics is the best orthodontic office in all of Downriver. After several years of practicing orthodontics, I am excited to be a part of the Abed Orthodontics team. We have the most amazing patients with the best smiles! I feel very lucky to be included with Dr. Abed’s vision of a patient-centered office and can’t wait to help mold more Downriver smiles. At Abed Orthodontics, we go the extra mile for our patients in every aspect of their care and the relationships we build with them. I want to help offer our community something to smile about at Abed Orthodontics.
Family and Community
My family has been part of Downriver for more than 100 years and my great grandfather was even the mayor of Trenton. I recently returned home to Michigan after practicing in Phoenix, AZ for several years. I love the four seasons of Michigan and it is great to be near family and friends again. In my spare time, I enjoy cheerleading judging and watching Downriver sports teams and was even a State Champion Cheerleader and Coach. I have twin white Westie dogs, Lily and Spike, that I love taking for walks and on traveling adventures.
Dr. Teifer is Board Certified with the Michigan Board of Orthodontics and a Board Eligible Orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics, as well as a member of the AAO, MAO, and MDA.
